St Kilda apartment complex fire

MFB firefighters have spent the early hours of Sunday morning battling a fire at a St Kilda apartment complex.

Crews were called to the Argyle Street Street address just before 6am following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000).

They arrived on scene within four minutes to find a block of apartments on fire and a nearby house under threat.

Neighbouring homes were evacuated as a precaution.

The fire was under control within 45 minutes.

The incident is believed to be suspicious and has been referred to Victoria Police for investigation.
