Sunshine West House Fire

The house fire involved a single storey brick house of approximately 14 squares. The fire had been contained mainly to the kitchen and lounge room areas of the premises.

Both of those areas including the contents have been severely damaged by fire with slight fire extension also into the roof area. A portion of the remainder of the premises has been damaged by heat, smoke and water.

Breathing apparatus were used during the fire as one dog and a puppy were saved from the burning building. Unfortunately another four puppies were located deceased inside the premises.

The fire was brought under control in 10 minutes.

MFB Fire Investigation Unit are attending to establish a cause.
