23 Oct 2012
A number of separate fires were found to have been lit inside the hall which caused extensive heat and smoke damage to the single-storey building.

Firefighters took just under half an hour to bring the blaze under control.

The repair bill has been estimated at between $70,000 and $100,000 and a crew is remaining at the scene to continue dampening down several hot spots.

Police have been notified as to the suspicious nature of the fire and will continue the investigation into its cause.

Approximately 22 firefighters attended.
