Suspicious fire at vacant house in St Albans.

The front section of the house was severely damaged by fire while the remainder of the premise has been damaged by heat, smoke and water.

The fire was brought under control in 10 minutes with breathing apparatus in operation.
The cause of the fire has been deemed to be of a suspicious nature and police are investigating.
Approximately 16 firefighters attended the blaze.
