Suspicious fire at vacant single storey Altona house.

The fire was brought under control in thirty five minutes and no injuries were reported.

Damage was mainly confined to the rear and roof areas of the 15m x 10m house.

The fire has been deemed suspicious and the Victoria Police Arson Squad will investigate.

Asbestos was found in the building and MFB firefighters instigated specialist asbestos procedures whilst fighting the fire. A watching duty will continue throughout the morning.
