Suspicious fire destroys derelict Sunshine house

Police will investigate.

MFB crews are attending to an unoccupied, two storey, brick building fire in Sunshine.

The incident occurred at 10:36am on Durham Road.

Additional crews were requested due to the volume of Triple Zero calls and smoke visible en route.

Initial crews on scene knocked the fire down quickly confining the fire to the rear of the building.

The fire took 19 minutes to bring under control.

The fire has been deemed suspicious so Police will be investigating.
