Suspicious house fire in Blackburn South

MFB firefighters are currently on scene in Blackburn South where a fire has occurred in a house.

Crews were initially called to an address in Jenner Street just after 7.30pm but, on arrival, found the fire was actually at a house in nearby Harrow Street.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus investigated the premises and found an extensive fire which had spread through the roof space.

It took crews 15 minutes to get the incident under control.

Victoria Police will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
