30 Jun 2017
MFB firefighters were busy overnight following a fire in Campbellfield.

Neighbours raised the alarm via Triple Zero amid fears the blaze could spread.

Crews arrived on scene in Somerset Road about 1.45am and found the single storey brick home in flames.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus conducted a search of the house to make sure no one was inside and used an aerial appliance, known as a Teleboom, to attack the fire.

They managed to bring the fire under control within 40 minites and contain the damage to the front section of the home and roof space.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and Victoria Police will investigate.
