Suspicious house fire in Kings Park

Several calls were recieved for a fire on Paraburdoo Lane just before 1:00am on Saturday 17 October, with callers reporting flames were visible from the roof and front door of the house

MFB arrived on scene to find one dwelling engulfed in flames and an adjacent property also affected.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus quickly contained the fire to a single storey brick veneer dwelling approximately 10 metres by 25 meteres, preventing the spread of fire to neighbouring properties.

The occupant of the premise was not home at the time.

The fire was deemed under control in 30 minute, however damage to the property was extensive and is estimated to total $500,000.

The fire was deemed supicious and is being investigated by Victoria Police.
