Suspicious house fire in Reservoir

back to list
01 Dec 2018
MFB crews were alerted to a house fire on Wimmera Avenue just after 3pm following several Triple Zero (000) calls.

Firefighters arrived on scene in less than six minutes and were met with a caravan that had caught fire at a single story veneer home.

Due to the high winds the fire spread to the adjacent property and caused damage to the rear of the home and into the roof space.

Six appliances including aerial appliances used aggressive firefighting tactics and were able to get the fire under control within 30 minutes.

There are no reported injuries.

The fire has been deemed suspicious and will be handed over to Victoria Police.
