Firefighters were called to Bambra Road in Caulfield just before 11:30am this morning, following reports of thick black smoke issuing from the property.

On arrival crews found a shed measuring 6 metres x 10 meters fully involved in fire and impacting nearby structures.

Swift action from firefighters wearing breathing apparatus ensured the fire was contained to the shed and rear portion of the single storey brick house.

The fire was deemed under in 30 minutes and the cause is being investigated.
