Three evacuated from Tullamarine house fire

Three people were evacuated from a single storey house fire in Tullamarine one suffering mild smoke inhalation.

Crews were call to the Gelea Court blaze about 2.30am.

The structure was severely damaged by fire, causing approximately $150,000 damage to the home.

It is believed the fire began in the evaporative cooler.

Due to the damage sustained it is not known whether smoke detectors were present to alert the occupants.

Six appliances with 20 firefighters attended the scene and breathing apparatus was used.
