back to list
16 Oct 2017
MFB firefighters were called out to a Malvern house fire overnight following multiple calls to triple-zero.

On arrival, crews found the two-storey weatherboard house well involved in fire.

The fire had also extended into the roof space which made the job quite challenging for firefighters.

A Teleboom was used to attack the fire from above while other firefighters attacked the fire from the ground with hose lines.

An internal search was conducted by firefighters in breathing apparatus which confirmed that all three occupants had evacuated and safely relocated with neighbours.

The fire took 40 minutes to bring under control.

A cause has not been established at this stage.
