Total Fire Ban declared for Melbourne tomorrow and Saturday 19 December

CFA announces Total Fire Bans for next two days.

CFA has declared tomorrow Friday 18 December 2015 a day of Total Fire Ban in the following Victorian districts:

  • Wimmera
  • North Central
  • Central (includes Melbourne and Geelong)
  • South West

No fires can be lit in the open air between 00:01 hours on 18/12/2015 and 23:59 hours on 18/12/2015.

Saturday 19 December 2015 has been declared by the CFA as a day of Total Fire Ban for the whole state of Victoria:

  • Mallee
  • Wimmera
  • South West
  • Northern Country
  • North Central
  • North East
  • Central (includes Melbourne and Geelong)
  • South West

No fires can be lit in the open air between 00:01 hours on 19/12/2015 and 23:59 hours on 19/12/2015.

CFA advises people living in areas at risk of fire to activate their bush fire plan.
