Total Fire Ban for Melbourne tomorrow with 38C predicted

CFA has declared tomorrow, 23 February, a day of Total Fire Ban in Melbourne.

Tuesday 23 February 2016 has been declared by the CFA as a day of Total Fire Ban.

In the following areas in Victoria

  • Mallee
  • Wimmera
  • Northern Country
  • North East
  • West & South Gippsland
  • Central (includes Melbourne and Geelong)
  • North Central
  • South West

No fires can be lit in the open air between 00:01 hours on 23/02/2016 and 23:59 hours on 23/02/2016.


CFA advises people living in areas at risk of fire to activate their bush fire plan.
