08 Aug 2010
A two-storey weatherboard house under demolition has been totally destroyed by fire.

Flames lit up the sky as strong northerly winds sent a barrage of embers over properties to the south. One house was under particular threat as a large wall threatened to collapse on it. The fire took 20 minutes to bring under control with crews remaining at the scene to ensure the blaze was fully extinguished. The cause has been listed as suspicious and Police have been notified.
