03 Jun 2014
A single storey weatherboard house was severely damaged by fire last night.

Fire crews arrived on the scene last night just at approximately 11pm to find the building almost fully involved in flames.  It took 23 firefighters approximately 35 minutes to bring the fire under control.

The house, which had a “for sale” sign at the front, was believed to be vacant at the time of the fire.   Damage was extensive and is estimated to exceed $150,000.  The cause of the fire has been deemed to be suspicious and police will be investigating.
