Emergency call-takers and dispatchers

The Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority (ESTA) is responsible for Victoria’s emergency telecommunications, including taking emergency (000) calls, dispatching emergency services and managing emergency events.

ESTA provides its services and works in partnership with:

  • Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board (MFB)
  • Victoria Police
  • Metropolitan Ambulance Services
  • Country Fire Authority
  • Victorian State Emergency Service
